Drying Beds and Belt PRESS Then Land Application

Drying Beds

After the solids have been treated in the anaerobic digesters, they are pumped to an either belt press or one of our 16 drying beds. During this time, the treated solids are allowed to further settle and the water is decanted from underneath on the drying beds back to the head works of plant, and then also on belts press is pressed between cloth sheets to dewater back to head works of plant, which helps thicken the remaining material. After the process is either dried or moved and dries in storage holding area. The solids are then loaded into a hauling dumpsters and tanking to landfill.
